Terms of Use

Last updated: September 2026

These terms are written in plain language on purpose. Anti Toxic People is a small, independent project, not a company with a legal department, and the goal here is to be clear about what this site is, what it isn't, and what that means for you as a reader.

What this is

Anti Toxic People is a free educational resource: a "field guide" of named patterns, tactics, and profiles related to psychological toxicity at work, built from published research and documented sources. By using this site, you agree to these terms.

Not professional advice

Nothing on this site is therapy, legal advice, medical advice, or a diagnostic tool, and using it does not create a therapist-client, attorney-client, or any other professional relationship. The Field Guide names and explains patterns so you can recognize them; it never authorizes you to diagnose a specific person, and it is not a substitute for a licensed professional when you need one. In Your Words is an AI-assisted reading of what you describe, can be wrong, and is not a diagnosis of anyone.

Using the Field Guide

You're welcome to read, share, and link to any page on this site. What isn't permitted: scraping or bulk-copying the Field Guide's content to republish or resell elsewhere, presenting it as your own work, or using it to train a commercial product without permission. If you want to quote or reference an entry, a link back is appreciated but not required.

Sourcing and accuracy

Every non-obvious claim on this site is labeled by evidence type and sourced to a named study, book, or legal case wherever one exists (see the About page for how that works). That said, this is a one-person project, not a peer-reviewed journal: if you spot an error or a claim that deserves a stronger source, say so, see Contact below.

Third-party links

Some entries link to outside sources, studies, or crisis resources for context. This site doesn't control those sites and isn't responsible for their content, availability, or their own terms and privacy practices.

No warranty, and limits on liability

This site is provided "as is," researched and maintained as carefully as one person reasonably can, but without any warranty that it is complete, current, or error-free. To the extent the law allows, Anti Toxic People and its founder aren't liable for decisions you make based on what you read here. The Field Guide is meant to help you recognize patterns and think more clearly, not to replace your own judgment or professional advice.

Accounts

An account is optional: nothing on this site requires one except saving your In Your Words conversations. You are responsible for your own Google account and for keeping it secure. We may delete accounts that have had no sign-in for eighteen months. The "Not professional advice" section above applies to saved conversations exactly as it does to live ones.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change in any meaningful way, the date at the top of this page will change too. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
